Job Description:
The Sr. Tech & Training Support Specialist is directly responsible for providing technology and training support to the F&M community. They work closely with the Director of Technology Support Services, tasked with developing and implementing technology support and training strategies that include operating systems, application software, back-ups and preventive maintenance. This position will assist in coordinating communications to college community, as well as entail the management and administration of various projects, IT related.
Essential Functions:
Oversee and direct the training program for ITS. Maintain current knowledge of operating systems, application software and industry trends and standards in order to assist end users.
Assures the ITS team is providing relevant training and support to campus users, either in person or in the form of online documentation; at times providing this support directly. Plays a lead role in ensuring the department's website and portal presence is providing the information campus users expect
Serves as the lead, when necessary, prioritizing end user requests when added clarity is needed; actively tracks cases and monitors customer service trends for all of ITS and brings issues to the attention of ITS leadership team.
Develop and Maintain Technology Guidelines and Tech Docs as well as preparing, design and implement weekly New Employee Orientation. In conjunction, post weekly technology tips.
Administer and manage specified college licensed software. Serve as Helpdesk contributor. At times, anchor the desk and offer some specialty training at opportune times of the year. (Ex. immediately following common hour, August/January start-ups, etc.)
Work closely with other Technology Specialists on management tools, computer hardware and software. Conduct training on variety of tools such as: Google Drive, Adobe, 2-step verification and security initiatives.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of 1-3 years related experience is required
Advanced level of proficiency using Google apps for education is required
Advanced level of proficiency using webhelpdesk, and webinar tool kit is preferred
Intermediate level of proficiency using Macintosh and Windows hardware, audio and AV equipment is required
Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
