Job Details:
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for identifying the training needs of personnel at all levels in the facility and recommending appropriate new directions for training organizational development activities based on the business objectives of the plant. This position will also be responsible for monitoring performance of production floor trainers orientation trainers and any other personnel assigned to the training department. This position creates and implements Standard Work documents for the plant and drives the implementation of Training Standardized programs Orientation management onboarding buddy program OJT tracking of probationary team members intern program Ops Associate program Leading for the Future program Dupont Maintenance training . This position serves as the talent retention expert in the facility and will analyze the turnover data drive the retention meetings assist with all retention events community outreach newsletters dinners recognition activities etc drive improvement plans in target areas and have floor presence to adequately understand team member and plant needs. Other duties include coordinating safety training and level training of the maintenance department; performing other tasks as deemed appropriate by the maintenance manager and interfacing with the corporate maintenance team to provide input in the creation revision and delivery of the Tyson standard maintenance training program. Other duties responsibilities include: Maintaining updating all training orientation materials and records within the department; monitor daily paperwork for accuracy and completion; manage the safety performance of all training department personnel; creating and maintaining training aid equipment and materials student records and control of the scheduling of classes; performing maintenance orientation training of new maintenance team members; interfacing with appropriate vendors concerning training content and delivery. This position will also assist in functions of Human Resources i.e. Front line Leadership training interpreters employee morale and retention events I-9 certifications internal investigations etc . Other tasks may be assigned by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: 3 plus years related experience; Tyson management or related experience preferred. Computer Skills: Competent in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint and the ability to learn Tyson SAP-Plant Maintenance system. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bi-lingual skills a plus but not required. Ability to present material to large groups of new current Team Members. Special Skills: Must be able to make sound decisions independently display sound judgement and leadership skills self-motivated with the ability to innovate new concepts and have strong organization and teaching skills and the ability to work with employees from diverse backgrounds. Certifications: Certifications in any training topics or techniques is a plus. Supervisory: Responsible for supervising the hourly Trainers personnel. Travel: Once or twice per year.
