You need to make sure that their body language and communication skills should reflect a convincing attitude, which is essential for getting new clients, and retaining existing ones. You must be familiar with sales and marketing concepts like brand building, various stages of a sales cycle, administrative functions, business proposal creation, purchase orders, deadlines, and placement of products.

The main skills necessary for a sales training agent include the ability to deal with criticism. It is more important for the person to maintain a motivating attitude. He/she needs to be patient with the newer staff to ensure that they are able to handle their responsibilities with caution. Having a keen eye for details and identifying human behavior can help improvise on the job. Those from business management backgrounds or psychology or other human behavior related fields are best suited for the job, to be a sales trainer you have to have a degree in sales and marketing.

The salaries for a sales trainer depend largely on the size of the institution. So, a trainer with a smaller enterprise can get about $2000 to $5000 per month, while those working with multinational corporations can get around $10,000 to $15,000.
